
Billing Information
SK Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice.
On weekdays (9am to 6pm), we offer bulk-billing consultations to children under the age of 15 years only. Concession card and health care card holders will not be bulk-billed.
Private fees will apply to minor procedures (for example, skin excisions and iron infusions) and non-government funded vaccinations (for example, Bexsero).
Examples:
Monday appointment for a 15 year old patient: Bulk-billed
Tuesday appointment for a 43 year old patient with a healthcare card and an iron infusion: Privately billed
Wednesday appointment for a 67 year old patient with a concession card: Privately billed
Saturday appointment for a 13 year old patient: Privately billed.
Please note that Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans (formerly, EPC) for our physiotherapist and dietitian, are bulk-billed.
Private Billing
For all other patients (including concession card and health care card holders), weekend and public holiday appointments, the consultation fees set out in the fee schedule linked here are applicable. The cost of the consultation is determined by your doctor, and is usually based on the length and complexity of the consultation.
Full payment is required at the completion of your appointment. Rebates from Medicare are available at Reception.

Pre-employment medicals, WorkCover and CTP Billing, RMS Driving Medicals
Patients are responsible for paying for their employment and insurance medicals until a valid claim number has been provided by the insurer.
Fees will vary depending on the length and complexity of the consultation. There is no rebate for these types of consultations.

Payment Methods
We accept cash, credit cards (VISA, Mastercard and American Express), debit cards (EFTPOS). Please note that a surcharge may apply up to 1.5% of the total transaction amount depending on the credit card or debit card used.
Unfortunately, we do not hold accounts, nor accept cheque payments.
